Last Minute Holiday Gift Ideas for the Reader, Writer, or Thinker in Your Life

One of the most effective ways to distract myself from doing my actual work of reading, writing, and thinking is to peruse the digital (and sometimes physical) universe for products that fall within this realm. If there were such jobs as paperie and pen testing or professional thank you note writer I would be first in line. The upside: I can re-label my lack of discipline as “research and development”; and, on the off chance I end up purchasing one of these products for a loved one, I receive the added benefit of edging ever more closely to my generosity goals for the year. These, I assure you, are extremely high.

The never ending rabbit hole of product sleuthing has yielded some creative findings, all of which are also made in the U.S.A. — yet another upside to my dirty little habit. So, if you’re running into a brick wall in terms of last minute gifting, here are a few ideas to jolt your holiday season goodness.

When I first read Alexa Pulitzer’s tagline “a handwritten note is a gift” I was sold.
